Next to sharing state-of-the-art technologies to improve glass production, GlassTrend acknowledges the need to reach out to the university world to bring the glass industry and academia closer together. By means of this virtual seminar entitled ‘Academic excellence on glass topics, a bridge towards industry’ we envision to further initiate and support innovation towards new (sustainable) glass products and production technologies.

We are honored that 5 prominent professors will share their lights on various aspects of glass production and glass related processes, including high-temperature melting (kinetic) behavior, sustainable glass production, glass surface science, and an approach for designing new glasses based on a mathematical optimization of composition-dependent glass property models.
