In the direction of the Group’s sustainable strategy, Şişecam has continued to mainstream sustainability into its business processes despite in these challenging times of our world.

Glass has been playing a vital role in the global recovery for a healthy planet while contributing to much better genuinely sustainable way of life. Pioneered by the three pillars of Şişecam’s Sustainability, the Group has been progressing on its efforts to develop an integrated climate change strategy that scopes both adaptation and combating of climate change throughout the entire value chain. Bolstering efforts in preserving the environmental sustainability while empowering the role of women  have been the other key developments of the Group for a better tomorrow.

Bahar Güçlüsoy has over 17 years of experience in the areas of environmental and sustainable development gained through a broad range of organizations including UNDP, the Gold Standard Carbon Certification Scheme and the large scale industrial companies. Her key focus areas include sustainability governance, climate change strategies and empowering stakeholders.  At present, Bahar is performing the Sustainability Director role in Şişecam Group.
